Sweet Lightning took keen hold, tracked leading trio, hung briefly bend over 9f out, progress to lead 2f out, pushed clear
Everybody Knows led, driven and headed 2f out, plugged on well to hold on for 2nd
Bassinet held up in midfield, ridden and progress on inner to press leaders 2f out, not quicken and soon outpaced
Bell Island pressed leader, ridden to challenge over 2f out, not quicken and soon outpaced, one pace after
Power Player tracked leading pair, closed and tried to challenge 2f out, not quicken and soon one pace
Nikolaievich held up in midfield, hanging bend over 3f out, outpaced over 2f out, one pace after
Don´t Stop Me Now dwelt, mostly in last trio, pushed along and lost touch 3f out, kept on final furlong
Bonzo reluctant to enter stalls, slowly into stride, always in last quartet, left behind from over 2f out
Hawk Gold always towards rear, pushed along 5f out, weakened and behind from over 2f out
Smart Artist started slowly, always in last pair and ran green, tailed off
He duly did so, clearing right away and winning pretty much as he liked and he has earned himself a nice break now as his trainer feels he has a nice horse on his hands and he needs time to mature, he is a big frame of a horse at the moment. He is related to some strong stayers and longer trips are probably going to be his bag in the future.
Bassinet is much more exposed with an official rating of 68 so she helps to provide a line to the strength of the form. She stayed on well enough without ever really threatening and is clearly vulnerable to anything above average in these races.
Bell Island looked one paced in the closing stages as too did Power Player, who is rated 70.
