BIG SLICK, who was not tried at this trip last season, plainly showed he has the speed for the minimum distance. This was his handicap debut and, if asuitable opportunity presents itself, it would be no surprise to see him turn out under a penalty.
Kyzer Chief, drawn on the inside rail, confirmed previous promise by running a rock-solid race. He was, though, unable to match the power of the winner on the opposite side of the track.
Myriola ran a fair race on her seasonal debut but was well held by the first three.
Gelert, making his turf debut, shaped well enough on his handicap bow to come out third-best of those on the stands' side, just ahead of Bahamarama, who was fit from the all-weather.
