Blue Empire midfield, effort over 2f out and soon ridden, headway entering final furlong, stayed on strongly to lead near finish
Shot To Fame prominent, ridden to lead over 1f out, driven inside final furlong, headed and no extra towards finish
Cyfrwys close up, led over 2f out and soon ridden, headed over 1f out, every chance until driven and no extra well inside final furlong
Oi Vay Joe prominent, effort to challenge over 2f out, soon ridden and every chance until driven and held when not much room inside final furlong
Capistrano behind, headway over 2f, ridden over 1f out, kept on inside final furlong, nearest finish
Cap St Jean chased leaders, ridden along 2f out, gradually weakened
Temtation soon led, ridden along and headed over 2f out, gradually weakened
Bolton Hall slowly into stride and behind until stayed on final 2f
Bodden Bay always in rear
Nestor Protector always in rear
Boppys Diamond always in rear
Shadow Jumper always towards rear
Polish Priory midfield, ridden along on outer 3f out, soon weakened
Shot To Fame, who had 15lb in hand of thewinner on official figures, took a lead until over 1f out but, not for the first time, proved a weak finisher.
Cyfrwys, who had something to find on figures, ran a sound race but was run out of it late on.
Capistrano, back from jumping, lacked the pace to land a telling blow but stayed on well.
Bolton Hall, who has become an habitual slow starter, gave away at least eight lengths at the start. He stayed on nicely and did well to finish where he did.
