RUSSKI enjoyed an uncontested lead and, taking a couple of lengths out of the field off the home bend, never looked like being caught as he galloped on strongly. He soared up the ratings last backend and usually takes a race to get his eye in, so this was promising but also worrying for his rating if the form is taken literally. He is relatively lightly raced and appears on the upgrade so a move into the 90s may not stop him.
Kay Gee Be wanted to go faster in the back-straight crawl and gave chase to the winner into the home bend without ever looking like worrying him. He could struggle off his current mark.
Overturn planted himself a stride from the stalls and resisted all efforts to haul him in.
