Ollie George chased winner, ridden and edged left 1f out, one pace

Hawridge King held up in touch, weakened well inside final furlong
SUGAR RAY, returning from a 196-day break, was gifted an easy lead and, having set a very steady pace, was always going to prove very hard to pass in the straight. He took his time to really get going when first coming under pressure, but he was never in too much danger and was well on top at the line. A rise in the weights will make things tougher, and he will not always get the run of things, but his owner thinks he will be a better horse on decent ground.
Mister Right, winner of two of his three starts over hurdles since he was last seen on the Flat, ran well in second off the back of a six-month break. The steady paceis unlikely to have suited and he can build on this.
Resonate could make little impression on his return from nearly three months off, while the apprentice-ridden Hawridge King should be better for this first run in 194 days.
