DUNN'O was always going to prove hard to beat if confirming the promise he showed in three runs as a juvenile and he duly proved much too good for this lot on his return from six months off.
He took his time in picking up, having to be brought wide with his challenge, but Clive Cox thinks he is still quite green, and he was well on top at the line. He is obviously going to find things a lot tougher in future, but he is a fine, big horse and, with a trainer who does well with similar types, he very much appeals as a sprinter to keep on side.
Rathmolyon travelled well for a long way on her return from six months off, but she was no match whatsoever for the potentially useful winner. She will not always run into such a nice type and will have the option of switching back to handicaps.
Another who shaped with promise was Billy Hot Rocks, who was doing his best work at the finish having missed the kick. This was his first run in 283 days and he can improve significantly for the run.
Whiskey Junction travelled well for much of the way, but he found little for pressure and might have needed this having been off for the best part of a year.
