CAPE COLONY was raised 9lb for his narrow all-weather win last time but he again gamely ground out the win, suggesting he will get further. He looked beaten going into the final furlong but responded gamely to a strong ride. He looks to be progressing with distance.
Heritage Coastloses nothing in defeat as she was making her seasonal reappearance from a stable that has not hit the ground running. She extended her sequence of seconds to three but there was no indication that she passed up the win as she battled on gamely against fitter rivals.
Riverscape might have preferred a bit more cut in the ground as on her reappearance maiden win but she too went down gamely under top weight.
Wannarock, who was eased when beaten, was reported to have hung right, while Zen Factor was reported to have run too freely and then hung left up the straight.
An Scaribh's saddle slipped before the home bend and his run is best forgotten.
