Katimont soon tracked leaders, went 2nd 2f out, ridden to lead just over 1f out, stayed on
Mekong Melody tracked leaders, ridden and not quicken 2f out, effort again over 1f out, went 2nd inside final furlong and pressed winner near finish
Bikini led after 1f, ran green bend 5f out, ridden over 2f out, headed just over 1f out, kept on but lost 2nd inside final furlong
Where´s Susie soon in midfield on inner, ridden and effort over 2f out, stayed on, not pace to challenge
Casilda rousted along in rear early, progress on wide outside from 3f out, chased leaders over 1f out, one pace after
Diamond Royal held up in rear, steady progress on outer over 2f out, ridden well over 1f out, faded final furlong
Sabancaya never better than midfield, under pressure and struggling over 2f out, plugged on
Janshe Gold dwelt, reached midfield on inner over 3f out, no headway final 2f
Finney Hill soon in last trio, shaken up over 2f out, kept on final 2f, nearest finish
Ci Vediamo held up in midfield, pulling hard and hanging bend over 5f out, ridden and effort over 2f out, no impression well over 1f out, weakened
Queen´s Speech tracked leader after 1f to 2f out, pushed along and weakened
Charming Tale led 1f, stayed prominent, reminders and green over 3f out, lost place from over 2f out
Shayera dwelt, always well in rear, struggling over 3f out
Glitz always well in rear, tailed off over 1f out
KATIMONT impressed in always travelling well, chasing the pace, on quicker ground than she had encountered in two soft-ground races last backend.
She won a shade more comfortably than the bare margin, as she had the race won into the final furlong, showing plenty of speed, although she has winning relatives over middle distances.
Mekong Melody, dropping in trip on drying ground, was just done for toe halfway up the straight and had to switch before staying on strongly to close down the winner late. She was entitled to need her first race last time over 10f when weakening, and a longer trip on this sort of ground looks like suiting now that she is eligible for handicaps.
The extra furlong suited Where's Susie, who stepped up considerably on her 7f form from last season on this comeback run. She is another eligible for handicaps.
