Adantino held up in last quartet, ridden and progress on outer over 1f out, ran on final furlong to take 2nd last strides

Linda Green held up in last quartet, ridden 2f out, progress on outer final furlong, never quite able to challenge
Chatshow held up well in rear, shaken up and effort over 1f out, stayed on final furlong, nearest finish
Equuleus Pictor pressed leaders, ridden and upsides over 1f out, faded final furlong
Rydal Mount held up in last quartet against near side rail, not clear run over 1f out and switched sharply left, stayed on final furlong, nearest finish
Tamino held up in midfield, ridden and no real progress over 1f out, kept on
Memphis Man held up in last quartet, effort 2f out, no real progress 1f out, plugged on
Grey Boy prominent on outer, ridden 2f out, weakened just over 1f out
Ken´s Girl prominent against near side rail until weakened over 1f out
Gwilym fast away from low draw, led and crossed to near side rail, headed and weakened over 1f out
Kempsey never better than midfield, weakened over 1f out
Tadlil never beyond midfield on outer, lost place and struggling in rear well over 1f out
Many of these are most effective on softer ground and thrive off a strong pace. The previous week's trend of drifting midtrack to inside-rail in the finish continued in this.
SAVILE'S DELIGHT, a shade unlucky last week, made handsome amends, but not in expected style, being awkward out of the stalls, and held up before bursting through midtrack before holding on well in the final 100 yards.
Adantino, who won this in 2006 off a 7lb-lower mark, again showed he goes well fresh and had conditions more in his favour than some of his close rivals. He looks plenty high enoughin the ratings.
The veterans Linda Green and Chatshow go particularly well here and did so again, with Linda Green especially eyecatching, as she enjoys plenty more cut in the ground but still went close, finishing nearest the inside rail.
Rydal Mount ran better than the bare form on this seasonal return. He was hemmed in against the stands rail before being switched sharply going to the final furlong and staying on stoutly to suggest that he would have been much nearer with a clearer run.
