It proved to be a typical sprint for this venue and course and distance winner TURNKEY came fast and late from some way back and widest of all, to snatch the race out of the fire on the line. A stiff six certainly suits.
Damika had run well at Doncaster first time out and ran a cracker again, only just being touched off.
Stevie Gee showed that he still has the speed to hold his own over this stiff six, having been successful over 7f last time.
Ingleby Arch was another having to challenge wide, and put up a decent effort on ground that may not have been quick enough for him.
Distinctly Game was having his sixth run of the term, but first on turf and, off a 9lb-higher mark than on the all-weather, ran well, having led about one out after being up there from the outset.
