Analyis of the race
SANDYMAC was probably a lucky winner of this as the third horse would have won but for veering badly left when just about in front at the final flight.This is about as good as he is.
King Cyrus was the subject of support in the ring beforehand, but extended his losing run to 15. He was wearing cheekpieces for the first time, having been fitted with blinkers in the past, and connections tried making the running here but to no avail. There did not seem any excuses and, though he keeps on giving the impression there is as race in him, is proving very costly to follow.
Baseball Ted plugged on, but was left behind by the front three and does not appear to be going the right way.
