ALRIGHT NOW M'LAD had been ruining his chances by not having a cut at his fences but he has clearly been well schooled and with the champion jockey being most positive from the outset, he got back to winning ways. He deserves plenty of credit for the effort as those who tried to match him were left well behind by the home turn. He clearly enjoys cut in the ground which he has been lucky to get this late in the season.
Aleron, reverting to fences, gave vain chase but was toiling from the home bend and did well to hold off Wenger for second. On this display he has crept plenty high enough in the handicap.
Those who went withthe strong pace paid, namely Pretty Star, Scribano Eile, who also took a good hold up front, and Young Collier.
Bolachoir deserves mention as he lobbed along at the back, travelling well, and had not been asked to make his move when slipping up on the bend going out on the final circuit.
