Quickbeam led to 2nd, led after 4th, clear from 3 out, very easily
Omix D´Or held up towards rear, headway after 6th, chased winner after 3 out, soon ridden, no impression
Silly Wupple held up in rear, mistake 2nd, headway 3 out, weakened 2 out
Shammy Buskins jumped right, prominent until ridden and weakened after 3 out
Pickamus took keen hold, led 2nd to 4th, prominent until ridden and weakened after 3 out
Dalyan Dancer held up in touch, ridden and weakened approaching 2 out
Earcomesthedream held up in touch, lost place and hit 3rd, ridden and struggling after 6th, tailed off
Bitta Dash mistake and unseated rider 2nd
Padalko held up towards rear, struggling 3 out, tailed off when pulled up before 2 out
My Nicole held up in mid-division, stumbled 1st, headway 5th, mistake 7th, soon weakened, tailed off when blundered badly 2 out, pulled up before last
King Rocky held up and behind, mistake and unseated rider 4th
Orion Star behind from 4th, lost touch 3 out, tailed off when pulled up before 2 out
QUICKBEAM defied his double penalty without coming off the bridle. A chaser in the making for next winter, he was at home on the changed ground and skipped clear from the second-last to win unchallenged - value for a distance. Connections were not enamoured with the high mark he got after his previous two wins which forced them into going for the Aintree Grade 1 stayers in which he was completely outclassed.
Omix D'Or enjoyed the cut in the ground and battled on well for second on his first start for new connections but what the form amounts to behind the runaway winner is debatable.
Shammy Buskins covered the pace but fell in a hole after three out, weakening quickly but nothing else threatened in the last mile.
Pickamus was keen up front early but again did not hurdle with any fluency and he was one of the first beaten down the back straight.
French import Padalko was fresh and keen wide out at theback in the early stages and looked to run out of stamina after making a brief effort running to three out.
