A wide open heat but only three counted coming to the last. CREINCH burst onto the scene before powering away in the closing stages to defy a 514-day absence. Off the track with tendon problems, he returned well handicapped (4lb lower than when last successful). He is regarded as a possible 130-rated horse when sent chasing by his trainer and he retains all of his ability.

Wizard Dust was ridden pretty forcefully dropping back in trip and he ran an excellent race on slower ground than he has been thriving on recently. Double Mead came through to lead two out but he didn't put any daylight between himself and his nearest rivals and a mistake at the last did for him. He remains in good form though.
