Poseidon´s Secret led, ridden after 2 out, headed and hit last, rallied and kept on under pressure, just held
Cape Greko tracked leader, joined leader 5th, ridden after next, weakened approaching 2 out
Fix The Rib took keen hold, held up in 4th, closed on leaders 6th, ridden approaching 2 out, soon beaten
Diego Velasquez held up 5th, pulled up after 5th
Analyis of the race
One of the races worst affected by the raft of withdrawals on account of the fast ground as half of the field came out. WARSAW PACT had to have his mind made up for him before consenting to win narrowly, but on the plus side the handicapper cannot dotoo much to him and, as he acts on this ground, he will be kept on the go.
Poseidon's Secret made a valiant effort to follow up his Plumpton win and the front two pulled clear of what was left. He should be placed to win again in similar company.
Fix The Rib has not built on a promising second two runs ago.
