Beherayn made all, clear 2nd, hit 5th, not fluent 3 out, unchallenged

Listen Son chased leaders, ridden approaching 3 out, soon beaten, went modest 3rd run-in
Quasar D´Oudairies held up, headway after 5th, ridden to chase winner after 3 out, weakening when hit next, not fluent last, lost 3rd run-in
Petit Turk chased winner until after 2nd, regained 2nd 5th, weakened 3 out
Prophete De Guye always behind, tailed off from 3 out
Sure Flame whipped round start, behind, pulled hard, headway to chase clear leader after 2nd, weakened rapidly approaching 5th, tailed off and pulled up before 6th
Woolcombe Folly, making a quick reappearance after winning at Newton Abbot on Sunday, comes out of the race with plenty going for him as he would surely have won if he had not been given an impossible task by his rider. He was travelling so well off the home turn that it seemed only a matter of time before he picked up the winner, but his rider was still taking things easy at thesecond-last and left himself a mountain to climb. Not surprisingly he could never bridge the gap.
Quasar D'Oudairies did not seem happy on the ground from an early stage but tried to get himself competitive before crying enough. This race is best forgotten as far as he is concerned.
