Federstar held up, driven and outpaced after 4 out, soon beaten
Tell Henry chased leaders, every chance 4 out, ridden and weakened before next
Vicario led to before 3 out, soon weakened
Your Amount did precious little wrong in defeat. It was only close home that he was forced to concede defeat, but there was no doubting his commitment. Lightly-raced, he is going the right way.
The first two came clear of the remainder, headed by winning chaser Twelve Paces, who had shaped reasonably well on his comeback outing last week. He faced a different challenge on this occasion, however, running on quicker ground. This trip would be an absolute minimum for him under these conditions and he became outpaced before four out before staying on again in the closing stages. A stiffer test of stamina should suit him better.
Solitary Palm ran much better than his finishing might suggest. Having received a couple of sharp reminders passing the stands with a circuit to race, he moved up along the back straight and was challenging for the lead when he blundered and lost his back-end at the second-last flight, which ruined his chance.
