Not surprisingly, the two trainers dominated the finish, fielding the first five home, the best of which on the day was Henderson's newcomer LINDEMAN, who came from off the pace to prevail.
Although inclined to lug left when the going got tough, she did not flinch and actually surged forward when Marcus Foley gave her a smack.
A £140,000 buy, she has a dam who numbers Denman and Silverburn among her half-siblings, and with that pedigree and this debut on her side, she must have a bright future.
Gold Reef, one of two previous winners in the field, was ridden by a top 7lb amateur to counteract the penalty she picked up for her debut success, which had been followed by a fourth in a Sandown Listed bumper.
Alflora Dora shaped with promise on her introduction and will be capable of winning a mares' bumper, and so will her stablemate Polly Potter, another whose dam is a half-sister to Denman.
She lacked the pace of the principals up the straight but nevertheless performed encouragingly.
Of those further back, Mangonel and Sylvan Wings both stayed on, while Flowing On was not disgraced in her bid to defy a penalty and certainly ran better than her finishing position would suggest.
