LE DUC has been called a number of names over the seasons but he did nothing wrong here as he had to battle back past the runner-up who headed him briefly after thelast. To say that he is a prolific winner would be nonsense as he has his own way of doing things but he has given his connections a lot of fun over the years and should continue to do so in hunter chases next term.
Mokum is now on a handicap career-high mark and things are going to be difficult for him in future despite seemingly doing everything right here bar winning.
Ice Melted has gone up the handicap for getting beaten and is another one who is going to struggle as he seems likely to be raised another couple of pounds for this showing.
Bowleaze would have preferred the ground to have dried out more, while Irish Raptor probably found his exertions here in March and earlier this monthat Aintree had taken their toll.
