SAUCY BINGO ran his best race to date over hurdles. Runner-up in an Irish point in January last year, he had shown only modest form over hurdles, and although he wasn't particularly fluent, he travelled up well to lead three out, then edged left, made mistakes at the last two and was driven right out, rather idling in front having gone clear. He's a thorough stayer, and may do better over fences but he will have to brush up on his jumping.
The pair were clear of The Babe Magnet, who raced in touch for a long way, and Luccombe Bay, who wasn't entirely disgraced on her return after more than a year off.
Queen Of Diamonds made the running, but faded after being headed three out.
