Mumbleswerve held up in rear, still plenty to do 2f out, gradually edged out right over 1f out, strong run final furlong to lead towards finish
Indy Driver steadied start, held up in rear, hampered and stumbled over 6f out, headway over 2f out, ridden well over 1f out, hard ridden to lead inside final furlong, headed and no extra towards finish
Mexican Venture took keen hold, held up in midfield on inner, headway and switched right well over 1f out, chasing leaders when short of room briefly and switched right again inside final furlong, ran on to go 3rd towards finish
Themwerethedays chased leaders, ridden and effort 2f out, led over 1f out, soon edged left, headed inside final furlong, outpaced last 100yds
Sir John Lilley held up in touch on outer, headway over 2f out, every chance and ridden over 1f out, soon edged left, outpaced final furlong
Clearing House led until over 2f out, ridden 2f out, weakened over 1f out
Quinzey´s Best prominent, led over 2f out, ridden and headed over 1f out, weakened over 1f out
Silver Willow led to start and mounted at start, slowly into stride, behind, pushed along 3f out, some headway inside final furlong, never dangerous
Ticking chased leaders, ridden and effort on inner 2f out, soon outpaced
Sun In Splendour pulled hard, held up in midfield, hung right bend 4f out, weakened over 2f out
He was in danger of not getting a run up the inside but JP Guillambert wasted no time in switching his mount out early in the straight and he responded by picking up strongly to get on top close home.
A lightly raced 4yo, he's been off with a broken pelvis, so William Jarvis has done a terrific job in getting him back, and he clearly has plenty of ability.
Indy Driver also came from well off the pace, but he got first run on the winner mid-track before just succumbing in the closing stages. This was a big step forward on his sole juvenile effort and he's doubtless got a race like this in him sooner rather than later.
Themwerethedays was always close up but he found the principals too sharp in the closing stages and doesn't look as progressive as those rivals.
