Esteem Machine raced in midfield, headway just over 2f out, ridden well over 1f out, led inside final furlong, ran on strongly
Manchurian in touch, ridden over 2f out, switched right well over 1f out, every chance 1f out, kept on same pace under pressure last 100yds
Cerebus took keen hold, led, hard pressed and ridden over 1f out, headed inside final furlong, no extra last 100yds
Crimson King slowly into stride, behind, ridden over 2f out, headway on inner over 1f out, kept on final furlong, not pace to reach leaders
Banjo Patterson soon pushed along in last trio, kept on under pressure final furlong, never near leaders
Our Blessing pressed leaders on outer, ridden over 2f out, weakened just over 1f out
Lucayos with leader until ridden just over 2f out, weakened just over 1f out
Forest Dane always last trio, ridden over 2f out, never dangerous
Given he was dropping back in trip, he would have appreciated how this wasrun and having begun to make headway on the home turn, he picked up strongly down the middle to run down Manchurian. He is reportedly better suited by going right handed, but the easy nature of these bends helped and he was given time by Ryan Moore to organise himself before finishing his race very strongly.
Cerebus is arguably the one to take out of the race, winner aside, for she stayed on well, despite having set such a strong gallop. Despite being plenty high enough in the weights now, she's a tough mare who should continue to pay her way.
Crimson King needs another furlong ideally, and he ran well, staying on quite strongly from off the pace.
