MULLIONMILEANHOUR proved far too good for his rivals to have connections dreaming of having another Kingsgate Native on their hands. This colt certainly looks the part and was well ahead of his rivals physically. All roads lead to Royal Ascot with a crack at the Coventry possibly on the agenda.
The Dial House, four days older than the winner, was not so physically impressive and has more strengthening up to do. He followed the winner through off the home bend and looked like being a clear second until getting tired in the final furlong. There should be plenty of improvement to come and he should soon be winning.
Firth Of Fifth had race experience but could not make it count, running a similar race to his recent debut in that he was doing good work when it was all over. He should benefit from another furlong in time. He was reported to have missed the break and been slowly away.
Multi Tasker showed the benefit of his course and distance debut, again travelling well up with the pace. He still looked like being second into the final furlong before again fading but is clearly progressing towards a minor success.
Smalljohn helped set the pace to take advantage of a good draw but he was hanging off the home bend when hampered and pushed wide. His rider sat up in the saddle after being pushed out into the midtrack before his mount kept on again. He is better than the bare form. He was reported to have hung left.
Hay Fever made a promising debut for a colt who is bred to get 7f-1m. He ran accordingly, keeping on up the straight after running green. He was reported to have been slowly away.
