Championship Point led, quickened 4f out, stayed on strongly final furlong, won going away
Spice Route tracked leaders, challenged over 1f out, soon ridden and no extra
Bid For Glory tracked leaders effort 4f out, challenging 1st 2 2f out, stayed on same pace inside final furlong
Charlie Tokyo tracked leaders, effort over 2f out, weakened over 1f out
Ronaldsay held up in rear, effort 4f out, soon chasing leaders, lost place over 1f out
Numero Due slowly into stride, raced in last, detached 3f out
Spice Route was produced to win his race, but the winner refused to be denied and he proved the stronger inside the last.
The remainder were well held. Charlie Tokyo was found wanting in the last couple of furlongs, Ronaldsay never looked like picking-up from off the pace and Numero Due, back from a long break, finished well adrift.
