Miss Clarice slowly into stride, soon prominent, weakened well over 1f out

Ice Bellini held up, ridden halfway, soon weakened
Melodramatic had run well in a Listed event at Newbury on her only start last August and her rider soon had her tracking the winner. It appeared a matter of when for much of the trip but the winner just kept finding more as they pulled clear of the rest. She basically just came up against one and can be backed with confidence to go one better in a similar event next time.
Miss Brown To You ran a nice first race and made good progress from over three furlongs out after being in the rear early on. She didn’t have the pace to bother the front pair but will know more next time and should have little trouble winning her maiden.
Portadora made a promising reappearance and was held up in touch towards the stands’ side and kept on without being knocked about. She should improve for the run and a step up in distance could see her winning her maiden.
Gulf Stream Lady ran a good race as she completely missed the break and lost many lengths at the start but she kept on in quite promising style. She can improve for this run and could well be up to winning her maiden.
Star Acclaim also showed ability and was always close up and kept on at the one pace but there are race to be won with her too. [TE]
