Analyis of the race

Several nicely bred newcomers on show here, but it was BOLD CHOICE, runner-up on his first two starts last year before having his limitations exposed in valuable races at the Curragh and Pontefract (Listed event), who made his experience pay under apositive ride to score decisively.

The big test for him will come when he steps back up in class, or tries to justify his current BHA mark of 90.

Coin Of The Realm, well off the early pace, kept on to good effect in the straight and, though greatly flattered to finish so close to the eased winner, he showed enough to suggest he can win races at up to 1m4f as he strengthens up.
