Dorn Dancer has proved expensive to follow recently and is the type of hold-up horse who needs things to drop just right for her to win. Consequently, she has a low strike-rate, but she will continue to win in her turn and she did well to get up here after having to be switched off the rails inside the final furlong.
Jakeini has not won for almost two years, but has fallen to a handy mark as a result and his showing here suggests it will not be long before he is winning again, probably on better ground than he encountered here.
Bookiesindex Boy, who had been allowed a soft lead when winning at Wolverhampton last time, had to concede the front-running role to Garlogs here but ran well enough for all that. He has shown his best form on the all-weather, but is racing off a lower turf mark as a consequence and looks capable of picking up a race on grass in coming weeks.
