Idesia always prominent, went 2nd briefly 2f out, one pace inside final furlong

Arabian Art prominent, went 2nd 6f out, ridden and every chance over 2f out, weakened well over 1f out

Pennygee held up in mid-division, ridden and weakened over 2f out

Duty Doctor chased leaders, pushed along 3f out, soon weakened

Fluoree always in rear

Come On Molly led early, prominent until weakened over 4f out, tailed off

An interesting maiden, won nicely in the end by SAPHIRA'S FIRE. The newcomer had taken time to get into her stride, but she picked up really well in the straight to score in the style of a horse who should go on to hold her own in better company.

Wood Chorus, an encouraging third on her debut at Yarmouth last backend, when she was ridden off the pace, cut out a respectable pace here and did nothing wrong. But she had no answer to the winner's late surge on the outside.
