Mineral Rights soon led, ridden over 1f out, headed inside final furlong, soon led again, driven out
Cape Of Storms always prominent, went 2nd over 2f out, ridden over 1f out, led and edged left inside final furlong, soon headed, not quicken
Aggbag slowly into stride, behind, pushed along 3f out, headway well over 1f out, kept on inside final furlong
Guildenstern held up in mid-division, pushed along over 3f out, switched right 2f out, headway over 1f out, edged left entering final furlong, kept on
Valdan slowly into stride, soon in touch, ridden over 2f out, weakened over 1f out
Zennerman held up in rear, never near leaders
Cap St Jean prominent, ridden over 2f out, weakened well over 1f out
Metropolitan Chief mid-division, ridden 3f out, soon weakened
High Five Society ridden over 3f out, always behind
Empire Dancer led early, chased leader until ridden over 2f out, weakened well over 1f out
Cabourg took keen hold, soon mid-division, behind final 3f
Cape Of Storms looked to have judged his effort just right, but he was inclined to edge left as soon as he hit the front and that possibly cost him victory. He has now been placed second on six occasions, as against just the one win to his name, and that rather tells its own tale.
*Russell Kennemore reported that Cap St Jean had bolted to post.
