Climate held up in mid-division, headway 3f out, led 1f out, ridden and edged left inside final furlong, driven out
Moayed slowly into stride, held up in rear, headway 2f out, edged left inside final furlong, ran on well towards finish, not reach winner
Dark Charm soon chasing leader, led over 2f out, ridden and headed 1f out, one pace
Machinate held up in touch, ridden well over 1f out, weakened final furlong
Mountain Pass dwelt, held up and behind, not much room and stumbled over 4f out, headway over 1f out, soon edged left, weakened entering final furlong
Cadwell held up and behind, never troubled leaders
Boulevin took keen hold in touch, lost place on inside 3f out, no danger after
Soldiers Quest soon led, headed over 2f out, ridden and weakened well over 1f out
Tiara Boom De Ay led early, prominent, ridden over 2f out, soon weakened
Moayed, rated in the 90s a year ago but now down to 67, had struggled to make an impression in 7f claimers on his last three starts. He seemed to appreciate this step back up in trip, keeping on well from off the pace, and perhaps a strongly run mile may suit him these days.
Machinate reversed last month's course-and-distance placings with Mountain Pass, who met trouble in running, but had his limitations well-exposed at the weights in the home straight.
