Bonnie Charlie went left start, soon tracked leaders on outer, cruised up to lead 1f out, shaken up and well in command near finish
Miss Chamanda chased leader, ridden and hanging halfway, closed to challenge over 1f out, chased winner final furlong, readily held
Riflessione led, going easily 2f out, ridden and headed 1f out, one pace
Smokey Storm not on terms with leaders in midfield, ridden 2f out, kept on final furlong to take 4th near finish
Sharav chased leaders, outpaced from over 1f out, lost 4th near finish
Raimond Ridge chased leaders, steadily weakened final 2f
Maria Milena never on terms with leaders, struggling 2f out
Rich Red dwelt, always well in rear, lost touch over 1f out
Twos And Eights chased leaders to halfway, soon weakened
Noworneva dwelt and bumped start, always in rear, weakened 2f out, heavily eased final furlong
A field of sharp sorts, and they stuck to the stands' side, which was essentially midtrack, as the course was railed out as usual, dividing it early in the straight but tapering away to the line where it was still around six yards out from the solid railings.
Richard Hannon often bloods some of his better youngsters at this venue and there was much to like about the winning debut of BONNIE CHARLIE. He is not very big but has speed to burn and won even more comfortably than the official margin, as he was just shaken up to assert, having travelled like the winner through the race from what could have been an unfavourable draw.
Miss Chamanda, one of the earlier foals, showed good all-round speed and should soon lose her maiden tag.
Smokey Storm shaped with promise as he is bred to need a bit further. He is a chunky colt who will have learned plenty from this debut.
Sharav, who looked as if the run would bring him on more than most, ran accordingly and can step up on the bare form next time.
Raimond Ridge was disappointing on this third start as he was well held before the final furlong.
Rich Red should not be written off as the winning trainer thought he was in the same league as the winner. He felt the loose ground and flying mud might have put off Rich Red, who could prove the form all wrong through the summer. Noworneva's bit was reported to have slipped through his mouth.
