WESTERN ROOTS has been with Andrew Balding for only a couple of weeks but he bounced back in emphatic fashion having run poorly in a seller when last seen. Bouncedout and given a positive ride by David Probert, he made most of the running and, still going well early in the straight, he had this won a fair way out.
The change of tactics clearly had a positive effect on this 7yo and although he's only been with his new team for a short while, he seems to be back to something like his best now.
Patavium Prince, on the other hand, camefrom a long way back. It looks like he gets this trip, but his wins-to-runs ratio is very off-putting.
Bowl Of Cherries travelled well for a long way and kept on but couldn't really land a blow.
