Analyis of the race
MAGIC MERLIN had plugged on in a non-seller last time but took the drop in grade in his stride as he won going away in the end. He has obviously had his problems as this was only his seventh outing in three years but connections may be forced to get him out quickly under a penalty before he can be reassessed as he is bound to take a hike for this win.
Dancewithedevil effectively ruined his chance when losing his footing with an error at the first in the home straight but he had been showing next to nothing in points.
Ful Of Grace has struggled since winning in this grade last year while Amnesty,wearing a visor rather than the usual blinkers, has always had a question mark over his enthusiasm.
