Down The Stretch held up and behind, headway approaching 11th, led after 3 out, clear approaching last, ran on well
Master D´Or held up in mid-division, headway 10th, ridden and outpaced after 4 out, stayed on to take 2nd flat, no chance with winner
Cleymor House chased leaders, went 2nd 9th, led 4 out, headed after 3 out, held when mistake 2 out, soon weakened
Wizard Of Edge held up towards rear, ridden and headway after 10th, weakened after 4 out
Amir El Jabal led to 4 out, weakened after 3 out
Magot De Grugy held up, ridden after 12th, soon struggling
Wotashambles always behind, tailed off from 11th
Whatcanisay lost action and pulled up before 3rd
Big Al chased leader to 7th, lost place after 9th, tailed off when pulled up before 11th
Alberti always in rear, tailed off when blundered 10th, pulled up before 11th
River Dante chased leader to 7th, weakened approaching 11th, tailed off when pulled up before 2 out
Mighty Moose mid-division, not fluent 5th, soon struggling and behind, tailed off when pulled up before 10th
DOWN THE STRETCH had not won for almost 18 months but the faster spring ground came to his aid and he won going away. He has won over further so there were no stamina doubts at this trip but the bare form is ordinary as far as the future goes.
Master D'Or wins in his turn but the handicapper has him just about right at present.
Wizard Of Edge seems to save his best efforts for Wincanton where has won his last three races.
