Standin Obligation confidently ridden in rear, smooth headway 13th, chased winner between last 2, ridden to lead run-in, stayed on well
Getinbybutonlyjust held up in touch, headway 8th, led before 13th to run-in, kept on same pace
Another Rum behind, detached from 5th, stayed on well from 3 out, no chance with first 2
Canada Street held up in midfield, effort 3 out, ridden and no impression from next
Bannister Lane led at decent gallop until mistake and headed 11th, close up until ridden and weakened before 2 out
Strong Resolve prominent, outpaced 13th, no danger after
Gidam Gidam pressed leader, led 11th to before 13th, soon ridden, weakened from 3 out
Chabrimal Minster held up in touch, steady headway to chase leader before 4 out, ridden and lost 2nd between last 2, soon beaten
Ross Comm towards rear, driven halfway, no impression from 13th
The Outlier prominent, lost place 9th, no chance from 13th
Jonny´s Kick in touch, driven 12th, weakened before 4 out
Crackadee soon towards rear, tailed off and pulled up before 11th
Getinbybutonlyjust also ran a fine race. He was ridden more prominently than the winner and went on five out, but although he was still in front over the last, he couldn’t quicken with the winner. This was his best run for some time and he should be winning soon. Another Rum was well behind most of the way but ran on past tiring rivals to take third ahead of Canada Street, who spoilt his chances with a few mistakes. Although he began to close on the leaders, going to the fourth last, he couldn’t find any more after the final fence.
front-running role, in sixth. Crackadee, who came into the race in good form, was never going and was pulled up, his rider reporting that he failed to act in the heavy ground.
