Analyis of the race

Just an ordinary gallop to this novice chase which featured three previous winners. GYPSY GEORGE, who won well in the mud at Ayr two starts ago, had the ground in his favour again and making all, and jumping well in the main, he ran on well after thelast to score driven out. He’s certainly going the right way, and will be an interesting sort in handicaps next season.

Ma Yahab raced in touch, and though he came to challenge at the last, the winner proved too strong for him on the run-in. He was up against an improver so wasn’t disgraced, the pair finishing clear of Truckers Lady, who raced up with the pace but faded after the second-last.
