Otarie chased leaders, driven to challenge 2 out, led soon after, narrowly headed last, soon led again, stayed on strongly

Tambourine Ridge in touch, headway 5th, chased leaders 3 out, outpaced and driven approaching last, stayed on to take slight lead last, soon headed, kept on same pace

Romantic Bridge chased leaders, hit 6th and 8th, ridden after 4 out and lost position 3 out, stayed on again after 2 out and kept on well run-in to take 3rd

Charlottes Webb led after 2nd, kept slight advantage until driven 3 lengths clear approaching 3 out, headed soon after next, weakened before last

Lady Bling Bling chased leaders, challenged 8th to 4 out, ridden and upsides 2 out, weakened approaching last

Kentford Mist in rear, headway 5th, hit 8th, driven to chase leaders after 4 out, one pace from next

Ping Pong Sivola led until after 2nd, challenged 8th to 4 out, ridden next, weakened 2 out

Osokenda in touch, chased leaders 7th, weakened after 4 out

Khadija jumped slowly 3rd, in rear, headway 5th, weakened 4 out

My Beautaful in rear, some progress after 4 out, soon weakened

Touch Of Velvet hit 6th, always in rear

Spot The Lady behind from 4th, blundered 4 out

Live The Life in touch until weakened 8th

Ruby Crown in rear, some headway after 4 out, never in contention, no chance when fell last

Poppy Smith always in rear, tailed off when pulled up before 3 out

Flirty Babe in touch to 6th, tailed off when pulled up before 3 out

Suppose I´m Stupid always behind, tailed off when pulled up before 3 out

No strength in depth to this mares only event and the early gallop was a bit of a dawdle, but the form choices dominated with OTARIE proving the stronger stayer than Tambourine Ridge, who looked the most likely winner jumping the last.

Otarie onceagain had to be driven some way out, but she is such a game mare and she kept pulling out more when Tambourine Ridge threw down her challenge. The winner is going novice chasing next term.

The less-experienced Tambourine Ridge ran a solid race in defeat and she would probably have appreciated a stronger early gallop as she was a little free in the early stages.

Romantic Bridge ran miles better than at Huntingdon on debut, where she was well back. She stayed on well, tackling hurdles for thefirst time, without having the pace to trouble the more experienced front pair, but this was a much more promising effort.

Lady Bling Bling didn’t look to stay, while Ping Pong Sivola was a real disappointment. She was beaten too far out for this to be her true running. (GB)
