Barbers Shop low at times, challenged 11th, slight lead 12th, going away when left well clear 3 out, eased run-in
Kinkeel tailed off from 7th, left distant 2nd 3 out, tailed off
The Preacher tracking leaders when mistake and unseated rider 2nd
Gardasee led, jumped right, hit 12th and headed, weakening 2nd when blundered 3 out, saddle slipped and unseated rider soon after
The winner collected without coming out of second gear as Gardasee, unshipped Paul O’Neill at the third-last, leaving him nearly a fence clear of the his only pursuer Kinkeel.
Nicky Henderson reported afterwards that they feel 2m4f is his ideal trip now and something like the Paddy Power Chase at Cheltenham in the autumn would be a suitable target.
Gardasee jumped to his right throughout and was struggling to keep tabs on the strong-travelling favourite when unseating his rider three out.
The Preacher departed very early in proceedings. (GB)
