Ballyvoge made all, ridden 2 out, kept on under pressure run-in
Lord Samposin chased winner throughout, hit 3 out, shaken up next, edged right and rider dropped reins run-in, kept on
Nicky Tam prominent, outpaced 9th, no impression from 4 out
Fred Bojangals took keen hold, in touch, outpaced when pecked 8th, soon beaten
Allegedly So not fluent in rear, no chance from halfway
Lord Samposin ran a cracker in second and, although the winner was idling, he did a stout job of keeping tabs on him and saw his race out well to the finish, despite his rider dropping his reins on the run-in. He should be able to win a race, on the evidence of this display, which caught the eye of the stewards, who apparently felt that his rider did not make sufficient effort in the closing stages. They subsequently found McAllister to be in breach of Rule 157 and referred him to the BHA disciplinary committee.
