Smart John chased leaders, mistake 6th, went close 2nd 3 out, not quicken run-in
Lincoln´s Inn held up towards rear, headway to chase leaders approaching 3 out, driven along and one pace from next
Bishop´s Bridge took keen hold, in touch, effort when not fluent 8th, led and 2 lengths ahead when blundered 3 out, headed and no extra approaching last
Mexican Bob held up in midfield, effort and in touch approaching 3 out, one pace
Festive Chimes chased leaders, outpaced after 4 out, soon ridden and beaten
Olympian held up in touch, ridden approaching 3 out, soon weakened
Aberdeen Park not fluent 1st and 2nd, settled in midfield, dropped to rear 7th, soon behind
Key Phil held up towards rear, outpaced and ridden 7th, soon behind
Hoh Nelson always behind, ridden and struggling 5th, mistake 7th, soon well behind
Bennynthejets raced freely, led at solid pace to 7th, with leader until weakened rapidly approaching 3 out, well behind when pulled up last
In Media Res chased leader, led 7th until approaching 3 out, weakening in midfield when pulled up before next, dismounted
Smart John is due to go up 6lb from the weekend so that makes the winner's performance all the more merit worthy with the front pair pulling away as well. He can be found an opportunity, although the extra weight will not help his cause.
Bishop's Bridge did not help himself as he smacked the first in the straight when still in front and he failed to recover the forfeited ground.
Mexican Bob has not built on a three-timer before Christmas and looks to need fences now.
