A run-of-the-mill hunter chase and with General Alarm getting left at the start it probably took less winning than usual.

EDE'IFF has shown her liking for this sharp circuit in the past and had shaped as if she was running into form when runner-up at Wincanton over three miles last week. That trip is a bit far for her these days and this distance seems tailormade as she stayed on determinedly to win.

Stoneyford Ben was pretty keen and that did not help his cause as he had little left in the straight.

Young Tot, wearing a tongue- tie, is well exposed .
