Analyis of the race

STORM OF APPLAUSE did his best to throw away what looked a fairly certain victory by diving left at the final three fences but had enough in reserve to grab an all-out-win in the end. Obviously, he is better suited by going left-handed and there willbe other opportunities at the likes of Newton Abbot, Stratford and Worcester etc over the summer.

William Butler boasts one win in 25 attempts and that came in a race that has not worked out.

Super Judge is thoroughly exposed and the first-time blinkers did Self Respect no good as he seemed to resent them.
