Wee Forbees made all, jumped right, went clear between last 2, very comfortably
Le Roi Rouge chased leaders, ridden and went 2nd 3 out, no impression
Rossin Gold chased leaders, driven along 6th, one pace from 3 out
The Real Alydaly reared start, took keen hold in rear, behind from 3 out
Naval Attache jumped right in rear, behind from 8th
Curran chased leaders, weakened quickly after 8th, tailed off last when pulled up before 2 out
He had the best credentials and was entitled to win as he did, and, curiously, although his three wins have all been on left-handed tracks, he jumped right here and certainly wouldn’t be inconvenienced by going right-handed.
He is also quite versatile, as he won on fast ground here last March but seems equally effective on soft.
Rossin Gold had no easy task here, but is getting his act together over fences and should find a race.
These three were wellclear of The Real Alydaly, who was unruly at the start and took a keen hold but, though well beaten, shaped with a degree of promise.
