Heaven Sent raced wide in midfield, shaken up and progress over 2f out, led over 1f out, stayed on well and drew clear final furlong
Chantilly Tiffany mostly tracked leader, closed to lead briefly well over 1f out, chased winner after but outpaced final furlong
Nans Joy led, kicked on over 3f out, ridden and headed well over 1f out, outpaced under pressure
Folly Lodge held up in last, outpaced over 2f out, kept on from over 1f out, no danger
Cosmodrome settled in midfield, ridden over 2f out, soon outpaced, faded inside final furlong
Pelican Waters disputed 2nd to 3f out, weakened 2f out
Our Faye steadied start, held up, shaken up and no progress over 2f out, eased when beaten final furlong
HEAVEN SENT was making her debut on this surface but stood out on form, having improved considerably after winning a handicap off 87 early last season and ended up placed in a Group 3. Although she had to come round the outside from stall 1, she was always well enough placed and was driven out for a convincing win after leading overa furlong from home. Her stable's first winner of the year, she did not need to be at her best, but this was a pleasing reappearance from a mare whose family tend to get better with age. The Dahlia Stakes and the Princess Elizabeth are possibilities now.
Chantilly Tiffany had plenty to find. She led briefly and ran really well, but she was at her best early on at three and is from a stable that usually has them ready first time out. Nans Joy looked the field's obvious front-runner, but they never let her get too far away and the writing was on the wall for her two furlongs out.
Cosmodrome, the only one in the field who had already won at this level, had been off the track since injuring herself in the Ribblesdale and was always liable to find this trip on the sharp side.
Pelican Waters had a stiff task and dropped away after chasing the leader. Our Faye, another who had it to do and was not sure to stay, was heavily eased when beaten.
The ex-Irish Once Upon A Grace had to be withdrawn after rearing up in the stalls. She had a pony to take her to the start and is not straightforward.
