Golden Dane did well to get second after having a lot to do from the turn, but he has proved expensive to follow this year and it would probably be a mistake to get carried away by this effort.
Towy Boywas well-supported for this return to action after a winter break and burst to the front a furlong out, but he found little when Nice Wee Girl got to him and found himself run out of second close home.
Charmel’s Lad got going too late after being slowly away, but he was doing some good work late on and his pedigree suggests that he will appreciate a stiffer test.
