Fulford midfield, effort and headway 3f out, ridden 2f out and soon no impression
Always Certain always midfield
Carnival Dream in touch, ridden along over 3f out and soon beaten
Complete Frontline always towards rear
Turn And River chased leaders, ridden along over 3f out and soon weakened
Hurstpierpoint always towards rear
Legendary Guest led, ridden along and headed 3f out, soon driven and weakened
Grand Value, who got loose at the stalls and ran around riderless for several minutes before being recaptured. She ran a fine race in defeat, in her first handicap, and she ought to find no difficulty getting her head in front in due course.
Bourse, who looked on the burly side, was well held by the first three, but he was far from disgraced in his first handicap. There may be better to come from him in due course.
Willyn may have needed this comeback outing.
