Cape slowly into stride, switched left after start, headway and not clear run over 2f out, strong run to lead last 100yds, held on towards finish
Baby Strange held up towards rear, headway and not clear run over 1f out, stayed on well inside final furlong, just held
Tajneed tracked leaders, led over 1f out, headed inside final furlong, no extra
Damika held up in mid-division, headway over 1f out, stayed on well towards finish
Bel Cantor chased leaders, kept on same pace final furlong
Turnkey in rear, headway on outer 2f out, stayed on inside final furlong
Pusey Street Lady with leader, led over 2f out until over 1f out, faded
Tudor Prince prominent on outer, kept on same pace over 1f out
Ice Planet in rear, headway 2f out, kept on final furlong
Southandwest tracked leaders on outer, kept on same pace final 2f
Barney McGrew held up towards rear, headway 2f out, kept on steadily inside final furlong
Special Day slowly into stride, headway over 2f out, weakened final furlong
He´s A Humbug took keen hold, soon tracking leaders, lost place over 1f out
Fyodor chased leaders, lost place over 1f out
Ellens Academy started slowly, held up, always towards rear
Charles Darwin chased leaders far side, hampered over 2f out, soon weakened
Bo McGinty mid-division and driven along, lost place 2f out
Mr Wolf led racing far side, edged left and headed over 2f out, soon weakened
Only two lengths covered the first six, with second spot going to Baby Strange, who missed last season after a good juvenile campaign, but showed signs of a return to form despite some pre-race antics. He may be able to take advantage of his current mark.
Damika ran on well, with Bel Cantor, who goes well on the ground but was a pound out of the handicap, running creditably to finish best of the low-draw horses. Pusey Street Lady, putup 10lb for her win her last time, had every chance but might struggle off her present mark. Ellens Academy was slow to break and Charles Darwin was hampered and is better than the bare form.
