Bugsy's Boy was going for a hat-trick following wins at Wolverhampton and Pontefract. Raised 7lb for the last success he was always well placed and had every chance before coming back for more near the line.
The winner's stablemate Madam Vouvray plugged on late in the day for fourth, but she did not strike as a likely winner in the near future.
Cantabilly ran his race, but hedoes not look particularly well handicapped at present, while Hayley Turner reported that Altenburg had broken a blood vessel.
