RYAN'S FUTURE has been running well in similar events and he won with a bit to spare in the end after getting the better of a tussle with the runner-up. Very well handicapped on his old form, he was due to go up 4lb before this so his trainer brought him out for his third run in a short space of time. Heshould continue to pay his way in low-grade handicaps at around this trip, probably over left-handed tracks.
Gracechurch was regressive on the Flat last year, but this was more encouraging. He travelled well before striking the front and could notrepel the winner's challenge.
Lunar River has appeared infrequently on turf since winning her maiden over course and distance for Ed Dunlop in October 2006. This was her first run for six months and she is entitled to come on for it.
Our Kes, another who usually plies her trade on sand, was unable to get into the action from off the pace, but she showed enough to suggest that there are races to be won with her on turf.
Mandalay Prince could never get into the action on this return to turf.
