Giovanni D´Oro held up, pulled hard, ridden over 3f out, soon weakened
Ming Vase, who won a seller here last month but had been well-beaten on turf a fortnight ago, bounced back to form with a decent second, staying on past Sparky Vixen, who looked to be travelling best of all on the home turn but hung both ways under pressure. Sparky Vixen had won over a mile here earlier in the year and perhaps this longer trip just found her out.
Kentucky Bullet did not have the best of runs in the closing stages and is a bit better than he was able to show this time.
